Reply with quote | #1 | I have my printer (Epson slip printer) working well enough - with an Epson driver. Problem is - every time I open the cash drawer - the paper in the printer advances a couple of inches. Bit of a waste of paper all in all as I don't necessarily want to print each and every receipt. Any ideas how to stop this? I can't load the Generic Text only driver - as when I try - "Add printer - the wizard (unfortunate name) opens - I press next - but then nothing happens! t's not frozen - just the Next" button does nothing. Plainly a fault I ave in XP - but there you go. I'd be happy with things as they are, if only I could stop the paper advancing when I open the drawer... |

A bit of paper will advance with the print driver you are using. Nothing I know of except use the Generic Driver. |

Reply with quote | #3 | Thanks for the reply. I'd be happy to use the generic driver - if I could install it. Any idea how to install that driver without using the wizard? |

Nope. You need to use the Add Printer in the Printer & Faxes window. The driver comes with Windows XP and later. |
