Hi

I would like to access the shop register from our office to see how the sales are going, Is this possible? One person said to me that it may log of the staff in the shop if we do this?

If you have a Network version, you can log-on remotely with a network connection. Or, you can have the software send email reports of sales to you.

would the Pro version not run two registers in the shop?

If I log in remotely does this stop any other staff using the register?

Would each register need to have its own base unit (hard drive) or using the network version do you only use one hard drive which is linked to the two registers?

No only the Network version can run more than one register at a time.

Remote access can be done rather simply, and free by using  "LogMeIn"
http://www.logmein.com
There are several subscription versions, but I've used the Free version for over a year with excellent results.
From my home office I can operate the store software, update prices, configure, check sales, send myself reports. Watch in real time (slight delay due to internet connections).

Now I just need to figure out how to have cash sent to me

Can we use the network version for multiple stores/sites or does it only work at one location.

The Network version is designed for up to 8 computers at one location. But you can use products like PCAnyWhere to 'log-on' from a remote site and run the program.

1) The Pro will only run 1 computer.
2) The Network will run 8 computers at one location.
For two stores with 2 computers at each store you need to purchase 2 Network versions.
